Winery Review:  Red Bordeaux wine. Cabernet sauvignon (50%) and merlot (50%). Andre Lurton's family has presided over the prime vineyards of Chateau Bonnet for over a hundred years. Harnessing this heritage and tradition, and adopting modern winemaking techniques, Andre has crafted this rich, juicy red from classic Bordeaux varieties. Alc. 13% by vol. Product of France.

My Review:  In the wine glass this wine was very dark with hues of purple.  It smelled of strawberries and black fruits.  On the palate this wine was dry with a medium mouth-feel.  The merlot portion of the wine gave it a little extra sweetness, that made the wine very enjoyable.  This Bordeaux tasted of oak and berries.  I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this wine.  It is definitely a wine to be drank with food.

I drank this wine with a Korean dish that included beef and rice.  The vegetable flavors that were mixed in the dish were more prominent with this wine.
