Tasting - Maipe

Name:  Maipe
Variety:  Malbec
Region:  Mendoza
Country:  Argentina
Price:  $8.95

Winery Review:  Deep purple color with violet tints, complex plum, fig, strawberry, spices and floral aromas; rounded and velvety tannins, excellent length with a distinguished character. Excellent when paired with game, roasted red meats, pasta or pizza.

My Review:  This wine was a dark red-purple color in the wine glass.  On the nose it smells like cherries.  The palate was very light but acidic.  It tasted sugary yet not sweet and had hints of cherry flavors.  The finish was a little hotter than I would have liked.

I did not drink this wine with food.
