Tasting - Rubus

Name:  Rubus
Variety:  Cabernet Sauvignon
Region:  Napa Valley
Country:  California
Year:  2012
Price: $23.95

Winery Review:  Its long finish displays full mature flavors of blackberry, currant and chocolate with just a hint of toasty oak and black cherry. The tannins are refined and polished, allowing the fruit to be the focus. Serve this Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon with a variety of bold preparations ranging from Osso Bucco to grilled red meats and cheeses

My Review:  In the wine glass this wine is dark red in color.  On the nose this wine smells like oak.  On the palate this wine has a medium mouth-feel and leaves the tongue feeling dry.  This wine has flavors of black grapes, oak, and granite.  This wine was a little too dry for my tastes, but would probably add some nice flavors to a steak.

I did not drink this wine with food.
